About The School…
Founded in 1931, the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) is one of the oldest community music schools in Illinois.
MIC is a member of the National Guild of Community Schools of the Arts and accredited by the National Association
of Schools of Music.
Each year, nearly 200 world-class music teachers provide the highest quality music education to students of all ability
levels, from birth to 100 years of age.
MIC has a wide variety of early childhood, youth, and adulty offerings including private instruction, group classes,
ensembles, and enrichment opportunities.
