Adult Programs

Vocal Ensembles — fall Semester

MIC offers a variety of vocal programs for adults interested in Musical Theater, choral ensembles, madrigal singing, or opera. Enjoy meeting and working with other adult vocalists in a friendly and supportive environment.

Vocal Ensembles Classes
  • Chorale (Adult; by audition)

    This community chorus provides an opportunity for adult singers with prior experience to study and perform the best in sacred and secular choral music. Several performances in Nichols Concert Hall are scheduled throughout the year. Call 847.905.1500, ext. 100 to schedule an audition.

    $155.00 per 15 week semester | 150 minute class

  • Madrigal Singers (ages 13-adult); by audition)

    What did they do in the Renaissance to have fun? Join this ensemble and find out! Improve your sight-reading, language skills and rhythm while singing the greatest music of the Renaissance.

    $185.00 per 15 week semester | 90 minute class

  • Opera Workshop (Adult; by audition)

    This workshop is designed for adult singers interested in the study and presentation of operatic literature. A repertory company will be formed from all those participating. Classes include physical and vocal warm-ups, acting exercises, study of arias, quartets, trios, and duets, staging of repertoire, and preparation for public performance.

    $415.00 per 15 week semester | 120 minute class
