Youth Programs

Youth Bands & Orchestras — fall Semester

The perfect complement to private or group class instruction, the MIC instrumental ensemble program promotes the development, enrichment, and personal growth of young musicians through the highest level of preparation and performance of great works of band and orchestral literature. Additionally, participants will foster friendships with other students who also share a love of music through a collegial and supportive environment. MIC strives to offer an experience in which every student is given the opportunity to reach their highest potential. Recognized conductors, coaches, and educators help develop your child's playing as they move from entry level groups to ensembles that challenge the most advanced musician. Regular performances highlight all MIC large ensemble programs. Note: The Music Institute of Chicago recognizes the importance of public and private school music education. Students registered for MIC large ensembles are required to maintain existing membership in their school instrumental programs.
